We collect personal information that you enter on our Site or otherwise volunteer to us when you contact us to, among other things, register for an online program, product or request information. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our services and Site features.

  • self-assessment data and results, such as information you input when taking self-assessment quizzes, and the like;

When considering an individual for volunteer or paid employment with HGV, additional Personal Data may also be collected

Information We Collect About You

When you visit our Site, our web server automatically collects and stores the following information:

Google Analytics

We also use Google Analytics Advertiser Features to optimize our business. Advertiser features include:

  • Remarketing with Google Analytics
  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting
  • DoubleClick Platform integrationsGoogle Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting

By enabling these Google Analytics Display features, we are required to notify our visitors by disclosing the use of these features and that we and third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) or other first-party identifiers, and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to gather data about your activities on our Site.

Among other uses, this allows us to contact you if you begin to fill out our check-out form but abandon it before completion with an email reminding you to complete your order. The “Remarketing” feature allows us to reach people who previously visited our Site, and match the right audience with the right advertising message.

As advertisers on Facebook and through our Facebook page, we, (not Facebook) may collect content or information from a Facebook user and such information may be used in the same manner specified in this Privacy Policy. You consent to our collection of such information. We abide by Facebook’s Data Use Restrictions.

  • Any ad data collected, received or derived from our Facebook ad (“Facebook advertising data”) is only shared with someone acting on our behalf, such as our service provider. We are responsible for ensuring that our service providers protect any Facebook advertising data or any other information obtained from us, limit our use of all of that information, and keep it confidential and secure.
  • We do not use Facebook advertising data for any purpose (including retargeting, commingling data across multiple advertisers’ campaigns, or allowing piggybacking or redirecting with tags), except on an aggregate and anonymous basis (unless authorized by Facebook) and only to assess the performance and effectiveness of our Facebook advertising campaigns.
  • We do not use Facebook advertising data, including the targeting criteria for a Facebook ad, to build, append to, edit, influence, or augment user profiles, including profiles associated with any mobile device identifier or other unique identifiers that identify any particular user, browser, computer or device.
  • We do not transfer any Facebook advertising data (including anonymous, aggregate, or derived data) to any ad network, ad exchange, data broker or other advertising or monetization related service.

How we might share your personal data

We do not sell your Personal Data to any third parties. From time to time we may partner with third parties to provide some of the services and resources available on our Site and at our events. We may at times disclose your Personal Data to those third parties, and they may from time to time also collect your Personal Data in the first instance and provide it to us.

All such third parties use your Personal Data only on behalf of HGV and under the strict instructions of HGV on how your information may be used and processed. HGV and our partners will use your Personal Data for limited purposes as specified in this Policy. We take reasonable steps to ensure these third parties use your Personal Data only for the purposes for which they have been engaged by HGV and that they agree to provide protection for your Personal Data that are no less protective than those set out in this Policy.

By visiting our Site or attending our events and sharing your Personal Data, you agree that we have the right to share your personal information with selected third parties including:

  1. Sales – business partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors for the purpose of fulfilling requests from you to purchase goods and/or services from our Site or at our events;
  2. Marketing – business partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors for the purpose of direct marketing of goods and/or services that you may be interested in;
  3. Cloud services – business partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors that provide cloud storage services;
  4. Web analytics — analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimization of our site;
  5. Professional assessment – business partners, and sub-contractors who analyze professional information you submit to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for our Certified Partner Program Super or Accelerator Coaching.

  1. In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we will disclose your Personal Data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets as part of the purchase, transfer, or sale of services or assets;

How We Store Your Personal Data

HGV uses reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your Personal Data from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, taking into due account the risks involved in the processing undertaken and the nature of the Personal Data we collect.

We will keep your personal data for as long as we need it, or as otherwise prescribed by law, for the purposes set out above. This period will vary depending on your interactions with us. We may also keep a record of correspondence with you (for example, if you have made a complaint) for as long as is necessary to protect us from a legal claim.

You may unsubscribe from any of our online e-mail updates and marketing by following the unsubscribe instructions in the footer of any email message we have sent to you. We will take commercially reasonable steps to implement your unsubscribe requests promptly, but you may still receive information from us by mail for up to 60 days, and up to 10 days for email. You may also continue to receive information from those third parties to whom we have previously disclosed your Personal Data.

When you unsubscribe from our electronic communications, we will keep a record of your email address to ensure we do not send you emails in future. Please note that by unsubscribing from all email communication, this may result in you not being made aware of critical member resources, features or information that may be of benefit to you as an online customer or program member.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties or the content of linked sites although we do encourage you to read the applicable privacy policies and terms and conditions of such parties or websites.

This Privacy Policy only applies to how HGV deals with your Personal Data, and it does not apply to any other company or any other company’s websites even if you access them via our Site. We encourage you to check those websites’ policies before you submit any Personal Data to them.

Children's Privacy Statement

This children’s privacy statement explains our practices with respect to the online collection and use of personal information from children under the age of thirteen and provides important information regarding their rights under federal law with respect to such information.

  • This Site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen and we do NOT knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen as part of the Site. We screen users who wish to provide personal information in order to prevent users under the age of thirteen from providing such information. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from a user under the age of thirteen as part of the Site, we will delete such information from our records. If we change our practices in the future, we will obtain prior, verifiable parental consent before collecting any personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen as part of the Site.

The GDPR takes effect on May 25, 2018, and is intended to protect the data of European Union (EU) citizens. As a company that markets its site, content, products and/or services online we do not specifically target our marketing to the EU or conduct business in or to the EU in any meaningful way.
